Your details, and what happens to them

This is a small business run by one person, and the website is built to collect as little as possible. Here is the whole of it.

Browsing the website

The website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and uses no tracking. Two things are remembered by your own browser, on your own device, and never sent anywhere: your choice of light or dark theme, and the contents of your basket. Clearing your browser's site data removes both.

Paying online

When you pay for a beanbag through the basket, the payment is handled by PayPal, whether you use a PayPal account or pay as a guest with a debit or credit card. Your card details go to PayPal and never reach this website or Julie. PayPal's own privacy statement explains what it does with them, and PayPal's scripts run on the basket page only, and only once you reach it.

With the payment, PayPal passes Julie what she needs to make and deliver your order: your name, delivery address, email address and, if you gave PayPal one, your phone number, along with what you ordered. She uses these to make the beanbag, deliver it, and contact you about the order, and nothing else. They are not shared with anyone except the courier or An Post, who need the delivery address, and they are kept for as long as Irish law requires business records to be kept.

Phoning or emailing

If you call or email, Julie uses what you tell her to answer you and to make and deliver anything you order. Emails about orders are kept with the business records; enquiries that go nowhere are not kept.

Your rights

You can ask Julie at any time what details she holds about you, ask for them to be corrected or deleted, or ask her to stop using them. Email [email protected] or call 087 131 9619. If you are not happy with how your details have been handled you can complain to the Data Protection Commission.
